Las Vegas - Unaffordable For Workers

The transformation of the real estate market, with emphasis on the vertical development has become a thing of concern for the middle class in Las Vegas. Most of the units in Las Vegas are in the range of $500,000 to $800,000 that is not affordable to the middle class families with household income of $58,000. The success of Las Vegas depends on the glitz and the service rendered to the visitors. The quality of service offered in Las Vegas is of the top quality compared to any other place in the world.

The people rendering service could afford houses, which were in the range of $150,000 to $250,000, educate their children and live comfortably. But with the gap between the middle class income and the housing prices widening day by day, the workers cannot afford to live within the proximity of their work place leading to poor service. The prospect of eternally good service, which is unique to Las Vegas, is in high risk. One cannot expect good quality service from a worker who has commute to his work 60 miles each way. A quick remedy is needed to improve the quality of life for the people who work here which otherwise could lead to devastating consequences in other aspects of Las Vegas services industry.
