The year 2004 was also a record income year for builders, contractors, suppliers, title companies, in short anybody connected with the real estate industry had a good year.
KB Home again stood at No. 1 as a builder for the seventh successive year. KB Home sold 3,680 homes at an average price of $238,000.
Second in homes sales were Pulte and Del Webb. Both combined sold 3,364 homes. They topped in sales volume at $1.4 billion. KB had revenues of under $1 billion.
Las Vegas had a record number of 535 sales of existing homes for more than $1 million nearly double of the the number in 2003. Compared to that only 99 homes sold for less than $100,000 which is less than half of 216 homes sold in 2003.
