Nevada Residents Have To Wait Longer To Get Those Rebate Checks

The Legislature this week has approved a 300 million-dollar rebate for people of Nevada. The rebate is on car and truck registrations, and on motorcycles, RVs and fleets of vehicles owned by businesses.

But people may have to wait, as nearly 2.1 million checks have to be issued and posted to individuals, families and businesses across Nevada. A huge task that will take at least 2-3 months to complete The State has not yet decided whether it is going to do the job itself or outsource it.

Nevadans can expect checks ranging from $75 to $275 depending on the amount they paid as registration fee last year. Senior citizens aged 65 and over will be sent a $75 dollar check even if they did not register any motor vehicles in 2004.
